Membership questions, answered.
Pricing, coverage scope, the Loyalty Discount, transfers, cancellations — the most common questions from prospective members.
Who can enroll in the Storm Protection Plan?+
SPP is available only to homeowners whose roof was installed by Texas Roof Guardians, or whose roof is less than one year old and passes our baseline inspection. This keeps every member's documentation file strong and claim-ready.
Is the Storm Protection Plan insurance?+
No. SPP is a maintenance and service membership offered by Texas Roof Guardians. It is not an insurance product, does not replace or supplement homeowners insurance, and does not guarantee claim approval, payment, or coverage outcomes.
How does the Loyalty Discount actually work?+
The Loyalty Discount is a contractor pricing incentive applied to qualifying out-of-pocket repair invoices that Texas Roof Guardians bills you directly. It is not a rebate, cash-back program, or insurance benefit. It cannot be applied to insurance deductibles or to any work billed through an insurance carrier.
What does SPP cost?+
Membership pricing depends on roof size, materials, and tier. We quote a flat annual rate at enrollment with no surprise fees.
When does my membership start?+
Immediately upon enrollment. Your baseline inspection is scheduled within the first 30 days.
What counts as a 'qualifying storm event' for a post-storm inspection?+
We monitor ZIP-level hail and high-wind events using third-party meteorological data. Thresholds are calibrated to events meaningful enough to plausibly damage typical asphalt shingle roofing.
Do you guarantee a response time after a storm?+
No. We guarantee priority over non-member work orders, but actual response times depend on storm severity, total damage volume across the region, crew safety, and weather access.
Can I cancel my membership?+
Yes. Memberships are annual; you can choose not to renew. Refund policy for mid-term cancellations is described in your membership agreement.
If I sell my home, does the membership transfer?+
Membership and the underlying documentation file can be transferred to the new homeowner at no additional cost — this is often a selling point. Coordinate the transfer with us during closing.
Do I have to use Texas Roof Guardians for my repairs?+
Yes. SPP benefits — including priority scheduling, emergency tarping priority, and the Loyalty Discount — only apply to work performed by Texas Roof Guardians.
I just replaced my roof. Why should I enroll now?+
Day-one is the strongest time to enroll. We lock a baseline condition report on your file, so when the next hail event hits, we can prove exactly what changed and when — which strengthens any future claim documentation.
What isn't covered by the membership?+
SPP does not include the cost of repair materials or labor for actual roof work (those are separately quoted and may receive the Loyalty Discount). It does not cover damage from neglect, prior unrepaired issues, or work performed by other contractors.
Will SPP affect my insurance premiums?+
We can't speak to your specific policy. Some carriers view documented annual maintenance favorably; you should ask your agent.
