Texas wind event tracker.

Severe wind damage is often invisible from the ground — lifted shingles, broken seals, and creased fasteners can compromise a roof long before the first leak appears. We document every significant wind event we respond to across Central Texas.

Why wind damage is the most under-claimed roof issue

Most asphalt shingles are rated for 60–130 mph wind. But a single 70 mph gust can break the adhesive seal between shingle courses without dislodging any material. Once the seal is broken, the next rain event drives water under the shingle. By the time a homeowner notices a stain on the ceiling, the wind event that caused it may be outside the carrier's reporting window. Documented post-storm inspections protect against that.
